The first thing that you will have to do is start eating mini meals. Eating three meals a day is not going to help you to be able to attain the muscle mass that you desire.
Several smaller meals a day will help boost your metabolism and keep it working harder than if you were eating the three larger meals. A higher metabolism rate helps you lose more fat faster and actually keeps your body from entering the catabolic state. The catabolic state is the point at which your muscles stagnate.
This occurs every three to four hours within your body when the body begins to think that it is hungry. It is during this time that the body actually turns to the lean muscle tissue and not fat to gain energy so you are losing everything that you are working so hard to gain. The best way to avoid this is by eating smaller meals at regular times throughout the day.
Ideally, bodybuilding should be comprised of forty percent carbohydrates, forty percent protein and twenty percent healthy fats. It is important to get this equation right. The problem is, if your nutrition is imbalanced, it could be detrimental to your goal to build lean muscles.
Macronutrients are a big part of nutrition for bodybuilders because they offer you a variety of nutrients that you need with healthy plant based food choices. There are several different ways that you can get the macronutrients that you need. The best way is choosing to eat fresh vegetables on a regular basis.
